I offer my clients legal services in a warm, friendly and caring atmosphere. I strive to serve the whole client, one issue at a time. I believe in providing the highest quality legal services in a professional and efficient manner. I take a personal interest in each one of my clients and I view the attorney-client relationship as a team effort. We will discuss your issues and concerns at length. Then, we will discuss your goals and the ways I can help you achieve them.

What We Handle
This is a General Practice Law Firm that handles a variety of legal matters including: Business Organization, Incorporation, Contracts, Matrimonial Matters, Child Custody and Visitation, Residential Real Estate, Commercial Real Estate, Wills, Trusts and Estates, Estate Planning, Probate and Administration of Estates and Social Security Disability.
1. Estate Planning
Are you among the majority of Americans without a Will or Estate Plan? If so, your state has an estate plan just for you. If you die intestate (without a Will), the laws of your state will determine who receives your assets and how they will be distributed. If you have minor children, the court will appoint a guardian for your children, if necessary. The court will appoint an administrator to handle the affairs of your estate. If you have a large estate, your estate could owe Federal and/or state estate taxes that equal a large percentage of your estate. If you should become disabled and unable to make medical decisions, who will make those decisions for you? Who will pay your bills and handle your financial affairs? Are you convinced that you need to take control? I hope so!
a. Wills:
This is your opportunity to leave your assets to beneficiaries of your choice. The Will is the only document that allows you to name a guardian for your minor children. Proper planning can help to minimize the effects of estate taxes. We are here to help. Do not put this off another minute. Give us a call today.
b. Health Care Directives:
A Health Care Directive or Health Care Proxy allows you to name a trusted family member or friend to make health care decisions in the event you become incapacitated and unable to do so. Obviously you want someone you can trust as this person will have your life in his or her hands, literally. A Living Will allows you to specify which extraordinary measures, if any, you wish to be used to prolong your life, if those measures should become necessary. Do not leave these important decisions about your health and your life in the hands of the legal system. Take control today!
2. Residential Real Estate
a. Buyers:
We represent buyers of residential real estate. This representation includes review of the Contract of Sale, information on financing and what to expect from the lending institution, information and advice on title insurance, its function and the appropriate amount of insurance to buy and my personal appearance at the closing. If you are a first-time home buyer, I encourage you to contact me before beginning your search. Purchasing your first home can be overwhelming. When you are armed with the right information, however, you can make sound decisions throughout the process.
b. Sellers:
We represent sellers of residential real estate. This representation includes preparation of the Contract of Sale, information and advice on all matters related to the sale of the property and my personal appearance at the closing. I will also prepare the deed and other documents required to close the sale.
3. Contracts
All of us make contracts regularly. Some contracts are standard and allow for little or no negotiation between the parties, such as credit card agreements. Others are negotiable and should be entered into carefully. My caveats to you: 1) never sign a contract without reading all of it, including the fine print and the back of the contract form; 2) never let a sales representative tell you that a contract clause does not apply to you or will not be enforced; trust me, if something goes wrong with the deal, you will be held to everything stated in that contract; 3) remember, if it is not in writing, you will have difficulty enforcing it; 4) spend a few dollars (or more) and hire an attorney to draft or review your contract, especially if it involves work on your home, the purchase or sale of your home or a business deal. We are trained to envision many of the issues that can go wrong in the simplest deal. So seek professional advice and protect your rights before you sign.
4. Social Security Disability
As a former Social Security Claims Representative, I am familiar with the Social Security system. If you have been denied disability benefits, our firm can help you with the appeals process. While we cannot guarantee results, we will fight to help you receive your benefits.
